Character Profile: Jenna Maroney

Another cast member on TGS is the character Jenna Maroney, played by Jane Krakowski. She has been Liz's friend for many years, yet this is never quite understood as their personalities somewhat clash. She is very high maintenance and has a tendency to burst into song.

Likes: Seemingly fitting into the “dumb blonde” category does not stop Jenna from using her favorite attribute: her sexuality. No matter the occasion, whether it is to protect her job or to sneak into the event of the decade, she has absolutely no qualms about showing a little skin…or eating straight non-dairy creamer…

Dislikes: Nemesis, Tracy Jordan, is the cause of most of her strife. He once got her bumped from the Conan O’Brien show, which caused unnecessary tension amongst the cast and crew of TGS. Some people (Liz) refer to her as paranoid, which seems to get under her skin.

Love Life: She has been engaged to a congressman (when she was 16 years old), David Blaine, dated O.J. Simpson, a music producer (hinted at having been RedOne) and a mob boss, and was in a three-way with Tom and Roseanne Arnold. In the fourth season her narcissism becomes apparent as she starts to date a 'Jenna Maroney' impersonator, only for it to go through a rough patch when Paul the impersonator begins to idolise one of Jenna's fiercest rivals; Cher.

Career: After studying voice at Northwestern and majoring in 'prom queens and murdered runaways' at the 'Royal Tampa Academy of Dramatic Tricks', she has appeared in numerous films and TV shows, as well as releasing three separate singles; Muffin Top, Chocolate Rainbow (for the Obama inauguration) and Tennis night. Below is her list of acting credits.

The Rural Juror - Constance Justice
Law and Order: SVU - a "lady rapist"
ShopRite Supermarkets - Commercial Spokesperson
Arliss - Received a Cable ACE Award nomination for a guest spot on the show
Mystic Pizza: The Musical - Summer 2007 stage show Broadway and the 2007 film adaptation
The New Mickey Mouse Club - as a Mouseketeer
Night Court - three-episode arc as Sparky Monroe (a werewolf lawyer). The rest of the cast blamed Maroney for the show's early cancellation.
Hushed Rapings - Jenna played criminal profiler Jill St. Ferrari in this Lifetime original miniseries.
Sing Them Blues, White Girl: The Jackie Jormp-Jomp Story - Janis Joplin inspired character in an as yet unreleased biopic.
Evita - which closed at intermission.
Videos for a Japanese Karaoke company.
Trivial Pursuit: The Movie
Gossip Girl - mistakenly auditions for 16 year old school girl Tartine Gramersy
Emmanuelle Goes to Dinosaur Land - Made for TV softcore porn movie

Below is a video that demonstrates the true lengths of Jenna's narcissism. On a personal note Jenna is perhaps my favourite character and I'm amazed every week at how she manages to keep a straight face when saying some of her ridiculous lines.
